Ipswich vs Wolves | April 5 | 10:00 AM ET

Ipswich +175 | Wolves +165 | Draw +225

An absolutely huge game this weekend is taking place over in Ipswich as the Tractor boys look to make a seismic move in their chances of survival this season against the team immediately above them in the table, Wolves, on Saturday.

Ipswich secured an excellent win in midweek against Bournemouth, but with Wolves also generating all three points in their game against West Ham, it mattered little as Ipswich still find themselves ten points adrift of safety currently when factoring in their negative goal difference on top.

Therefore Ipswich simply won’t get a better chance to survive and eat into that lead that Wolves have over them by beating the West Midlanders at home this weekend and putting a severe dent in that nine-point cushion.

Ipswich will no doubt be buoyed, however, by Wolves’ performance in midweek as despite the win and that early goal from Jorgen Larson, they were on the back foot for a lot of that match, with West Ham owning a higher xG than Wolves overall, having more possession, more total shots, and creating more big chances also.

Since Vitor Pereira’s appointment at Wolves, the West Midlands club actually ranks as a top-half team in the league in points generated, a remarkable turnaround from where they were earlier in the season.

However, on the expected points table it’s been a much different story, with Wolves ranking fifth-from-bottom overall across that same time period, so it’s fair to say that they have ridden their luck a little somewhat over the last few months.

Simply put, this is the game of the season for Ipswich on Saturday. A loss here would make it a twelve-point gap, and with only seven games remaining on the season, that would almost ensure that the Tractor Boys would be plying their trade down in the Championship next season.

Expect all hands to the pump for Ipswich in this one, especially early on.

Premier League Prediction: 1H Ipswich PK (+100)

Brentford vs Chelsea | April 6 | 9:00AM ET

Brentford +215 | Chelsea +115 | Draw +270

Short turnaround for Chelsea on Sunday after just playing on Thursday night against Tottenham, yet it hasn’t seemed to have slowed them down all that much, with the Blues winning three of their last four Premier League games overall.

In what was an entertaining affair over at Stamford Bridge in midweek, a game that involved two disallowed goals, Enzo Fernandez’s 50th-minute header proved the difference maker in what was arguably a deserved win for the home side based on the passage of play.

Brentford meanwhile, slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Newcastle in their midweek clash, with Sandro Tonali’s late strike handing the Bees their third winless Premier League start across their last four games in all.

That’s not a good omen ahead of this one, especially as Brentford have been absolutely dreadful at home across recent months, with their 1-0 home loss against Aston Villa last month ranking as their eighth straight winless game at the Community Stadium.

A huge part of those recent home issues for Brentford has been their inability to score in front of goals, with three of their last four home starts seeing them not even register a single goal.

Against this Chelsea side on Sunday, who have secured three clean sheets from their last four games in all, that lack of offensive threat for Brentford at home could be a huge problem for them here, and we’re locking in the Brentford Team Total Under as a result.

Premier League Prediction: Brentford Team Total Under 1.5 (-148)

Leicester vs Newcastle | April 7 | 3:00PM ET

Leicester +530 | Newcastle -200 | Draw +345

It’s fair to say that Leicester are all but doomed at this point with a current twelve-point gap separating them from Wolves sitting just outside of the relegation zone, along with a healthy, or rather unhealthy, -25 goal difference on them also. It would therefore take something of epic proportions to get Leicester out of the current predicament they find themselves in, especially with only eight games remaining.

What most certainly hasn’t helped in stimulating that potential miracle is a recent run that has seen Leicester register eight straight losses on the bounce, the last six of which all saw the Foxes come away without even registering a single goal, something they could at least rely on earlier in the season.

That earlier-in-the-season quote is important as well as since the start of the calendar year, Leicester have officially been the worst team in the league overall, generating just three total points across the last three and a half months, and averaging just a goal per month across that same timeframe also (3). Bottom-of-the-table Southampton, for comparison, have netted more than three times that amount over the same time period (10).

After a patchy run of form, Newcastle finally look like they are back at the races, with three straight wins in succession and hard-charging fast for that final Champions League spot.

Only four other teams have enjoyed a better opening forty-five minutes in games than the Magpies have this season, with Leicester again sitting last in that same category based on first-half performance. Expect more of the same here on Monday.

Premier League Prediction: 1H Newcastle ML (-105)
