Arsenal vs Everton Betting Analysis

Arsenal face Everton on Wednesday evening over in the English Premier League, looking to gain some revenge on one of only three teams to hand them a Premier League loss this season, as they look to keep one step ahead of Manchester City in this year’s title race.

Everton secured a massive win against Arsenal earlier this month in new manager Sean Dyche’s first game in charge at the club, but will no doubt be hard-pressed to repeat that feat here against an Arsenal side that look back to their best after a recent blip.

Bar a 1-0 win for Everton in North London two years ago through a late second-half Bernd Leno own goal for the Gunners.

Arsenal have traditionally dominated this fixture down in the English capital, winning all seven of their other eight meetings against Everton at home in the Premier League.

The Dyche Effect

Despite a split two wins and two losses from his opening four games in charge at Goodison Park, Everton boss Sean Dyche can arguably count himself a little unfortunate as Everton perhaps deserved more given their level of play in those games.

James Tarkowski crashed the ball off the post early in their game against Liverpool two weeks ago while Everton by and large had the better of it against Aston Villa at the weekend also before giving up a late penalty.

Arsenal Steady Themselves After Recent Blip

With Arsenal dropping seven points from a possible nine at the start of the month, and crashing out of the FA Cup against title rivals Manchester City as well, it looked as if Arsenal’s impressive title challenge was finally starting to falter.

However, the Gunners have since steadied the ship, coming back impressively from 2-1 down against Aston Villa ten days ago with three unanswered goals, and looked in solid form against Leicester at the weekend also in what was a dominant win despite the final score.

Arsenal vs Everton Expert Prediction

Despite last weekend’s 1-0 scoreline against Leicester, Arsenal had by far the better of proceedings, with a frustrating disallowed goal from what was a fantastic effort from the edge of the box by Leandro Trossard after Ben White’s infraction.

Arsenal also had what looked like a blatant penalty appeal dismissed also for Bukayo Saka as Leicester City really ran the defensive gauntlet in that game.

That shouldn’t be the case in this one however as both teams have the capability to score on the other one here (Leicester also had a goal ruled offside at the weekend).

Everton ranks 7th in the league in offensive xG since Sean Dyche took charge back at the start of the month as well. Take Arsenal and Over 1.5 goals in their EPL matchup against Everton on Wednesday.

Prediction: Arsenal Win and Over 1.5 (-165)
