Germany vs Switzerland Picks | Sunday, June 23 | 3:00PM ET

Germany -145 | Switzerland +415 | Draw +285

Germany and Switzerland are the two teams nailed on to qualify from this group after picking up six points and four points respectively across their opening two games.

Germany faced a much stiffer test in Matchday 2 against a dogged Hungarian side, yet their class nonetheless shone through, with two goals from Jamal Musiala and Ilkay Gundogan getting them over the line against Hungary.

Switzerland meanwhile faced a tricky encounter against Germany’s Matchday 1 opponents Scotland, with the Scots playing much better football than they did in their opening game, taking the early lead against Switzerland and having an 8-5 goal attempts advantage in the second half as well.

Neither team needs a win to progress here, and Germany only needs a draw to finish top, but as everyone knows, momentum is a major factor in sports, and Germany likely won’t want to take their foot off the gas ahead of the knockout rounds of this tournament.

Because of that, we believe the Germans will change fairly little here and opt to stick with their aggressive style of play under Julian Nagelsmann, something they’ve been incredibly successful at doing in this series so far, scoring at least three goals against Switzerland in four of their last five H2Hs against them.

Look for that to continue here with the Germany Team Total Over 1.5 goals cashing on Sunday against Switzerland.

Euro 2024 Prediction: Germany Team Total Over 1.5 (-138)

Spain vs Albania Best Bets | Monday, June 24 | 3:00PM ET

Spain -230 | Albania +610 | Draw +385

After six points from their opening two games, Spain have securely locked themselves into the top spot of this group after beating Italy last time out, but just like Germany, likely won’t want to go into the knockout rounds cold and drastically change their style of play from what’s been successful for them up to this point.

For Albania, they were given a lifeline after a pulsating 2-2 draw against Croatia in the last round. Albania took the early lead in that one, just as they managed against Italy in Matchday 1, but just like that Italian game, were unable to hold onto it, giving up two goals late on to the Croatians, one of which came via an own goal.

However, the Albanians were able to respond with a fortunate rebound deep into injury time to snatch a draw, a result that gives them some hope of progressing from this group.

Albania needs to win this game in order to progress, an attacking philosophy that will likely leave them incredibly vulnerable at the back to one of the world’s most potent attacking teams in Spain.

Perhaps Albania can keep pace with the Spanish here and trouble them, but in pushing for a positive result, it’s inevitable that Spain will also get their fair share of goal-scoring opportunities in this one, so the Spanish Team Total Over looks like another appealing play for Monday.

Euro 2024 Prediction: Spain Team Total Over 1.5 (-167)

Slovenia vs England Picks | Tuesday, June 25 | 3:00PM ET

Belgium +745 | Romania -260 | Draw +390

Patience is wearing thin with the English fanbase after yet another tepid performance from the competition favorites in Matchday 2.

England were able to take another early lead against the Danish in that game (Bellingham ‘13 against Serbia, Kane ‘18 against Denmark), but just as in their Matchday 1 performance, seemed to immediately sit back after taking the lead and do very little, something that cost them late on as Denmark were able to equalize just before the half.

What led to probably the most puzzlement from fans was Gareth Southgate’s admission after the game that he’s still trying to adapt to having no Kalvin Phillips in the squad, a player who hasn’t played in well over seven months for the national team.

Fans were left pretty much exasperated by Southgate’s claim that he’s still ‘experimenting’ with the squad, something which should arguably have been done months ago, well in advance of this current tournament kicking off.

While Southgate will leave his England post after the Euro 2024 tournament, the English are stuck with him for now and it’s a question of whether he will finally let the shackles off this team, especially the front six, which is amongst the strongest and most offensively gifted in world football.

Slovenia currently leads the race of third-place teams due to qualify, so a draw might well be enough for them to progress here. England need at least a draw to finish top themselves, but have already qualified for the knockout rounds with four points banked from their opening two games.

With a stalemate likely on the minds of both managers here, plus the fact that both of England’s last two H2H meetings against Slovenia saw just one total goal being scored, we could well see another dour game play out in Cologne on Tuesday.
