Eintracht Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig Betting Analysis
Two teams not only battling in Europe this season, but who are also battling for Europe next season meet at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig this weekend in what should be a mesmerizing clash between two top-tier offenses.
RB Leipzig secured a very impressive 1-1 draw at home to Manchester City in midweek over in the Champions League, and that’s been a theme for them throughout this season, with the Red Bulls’ only loss in the league this season coming in their very last game against Union Berlin.
Eintracht Frankfurt meanwhile had no such luck over in Europe in midweek, losing to Serie A leaders Napoli at home as they face an extremely tricky trip to Italy in a little over two weeks’ time in order to try and reverse that disappointing 2-0 result.
Frankfurt have a fantastic head-to-head record against Leipzig over recent seasons, not having lost to their rivals since 2019, and will look to continue that here.
Defensive Pressure Pays Dividends For Frankfurt
The Eagles have been extremely impressive defensively this season, especially on the road, where they rank as the 3rd best team in the league in terms of goals allowed and 4th on defensive xGA also.
With solid back-to-back draws against top teams in the likes of Freiburg and Bayern Munich over recent road trips, ones in which they allowed just one goal each per game, they’ll feel confident of righting the ship after their 3-0 loss to FC Koln ten days ago with another solid performance in this one.
Leipzig Eyeing Up Title Challenge
While the Red Bulls sit in 5th in the table overall heading into this weekend’s clash, they’re only actually four points from the top and will view Saturday’s game as a huge opportunity to close that gap at the top of the table on current league leaders Bayern Munich.
After a mini two-game slump against FC Koln and Union Berlin respectively where they picked up just one point across those two starts, Leipzig have since bounced back with a massive 3-0 win against Wolfsburg last time out.
They also added a positive result in Europe against Manchester City as well, and will no doubt be buoyed by that success ahead of this one.

While Eintracht Frankfurt have been extremely impressive defensively away from home this season, the fact is both teams are coming off a short week and both rank top four in the Bundesliga scoring charts this season as well averaging 2 goals or more per game.
On top of that, Leipzig have also been absolutely deadly from set-pieces at home this year, ranking 2nd in the league overall in total goals scored, while Frankfurt rank joint 3rd on the road this year in overall scoring with 16 goals.
