Fiorentina vs Napoli Analysis
Napoli has started the new Serie A season off with a bang, banking all six points from their opening two games and have netted a phenomenal nine goals in the process to place themselves firmly as the No. 1 team in Italy at the start of the season.
Fiorentina has also gotten off to a fine start, accumulating four points in their opening two games, but have yet to face a side as dynamic as Napoli so far this year.

Napoli has been positioned as a road favorite here and it’s for good reason as Fiorentina comes off a punishing game in midweek against FC Twente, with the Dutch side owning a 57-25 dangerous attack advantage in that game against the Italians. Napoli, meanwhile, played a much more manageable friendly against Serie C side Juve Stabia on Wednesday.
No Fiorentina player has scored more than one goal this season, and they face a Napoli defense here on Sunday that comes off shutting out Monza last weekend and who owns the league’s lowest opponent defensive shots per game statistics this season also at just 5.0 per game.
