Inter vs Porto Betting Analysis

Portuguese champions FC Porto head over to Italy in midweek to take on Italian giants Inter Milan in what should be an interesting clash over in the San Siro on Wednesday.

Both teams are currently in some strong form right now heading into this one as well, with Porto winning ten straight games across all competitions going back to the start of January while Inter have lost just one game themselves since the start of November.

The two teams haven’t faced each other in continental Champions League action in almost twenty years. However, Porto have arguably had the better of it over recent seasons.

The Portuguese side has reached the Champions League quarter-final three different times over the last decade, while Inter have failed to reach the quarter-final stage of this competition going all the way back to the 2010-11 season.

Porto Won’t Fear Trip to Italy

Despite opening their group campaign with back-to-back losses, Porto then went on to win all of their last four remaining games in the group to finish top ahead of some excellent teams in the likes of Club Brugges, Bayer Leverkusen, and Atletico Madrid.

Two draws in their last two visits to Italy in this competition as well against AC Milan and Juventus respectively likely means the Portuguese side won’t fear another visit to Italy in this round either.

Inter Fresh For Wednesday’s Clash

With Simone Inzaghi rotating his squad at the weekend against Udinese in the lead-up to this game, Inter should be fresh and well-prepared as a result for Wednesday’s clash at home against Porto.

Inter did extremely well in navigating the group stage of this competition earlier in the season, finishing second behind heavyweights Bayern Munich and taking four points off Barcelona across two head-to-heads as well to qualify in second.

Inter vs Porto Expert Prediction

We’re taking the Both Teams to Score – Yes prop on Wednesday as FC Porto have found the back of the net in 19 of their last 20 road games overall, and Inter’s 27 goals allowed at the back this season, eighth in the league, is unlikely to ruin that trend either.

Inter Milan meanwhile have been incredibly strong at home offensively themselves, netting an average of 2.08 goals per game this season in Serie A, second only behind league leaders Napoli, and ranking 2nd in offensive xG this year as well.

Both teams should be able to find the back of the net in this one in what should be an extremely competitive matchup on Wednesday, so take the Both Teams to Score – Yes prop as your play for this week’s Champions League clash between FC Porto and Inter in Milan.
