Liverpool vs Leicester Analysis
Since that 1-0 loss to Leicester in December, Liverpool has gone seven games unbeaten, winning matches by an aggregate scoreline of 17 to 5 while Leicester has won just one of their last four games in all and got thoroughly embarrassed by Championship side Nottingham Forest 4-1 at the weekend over in the FA Cup.
Fortress Anfield Back in Business
After going on an incredible run of three full seasons without a single home loss between 2017-18 to 2019-20, Liverpool, mainly due to a high number of first-team injuries last year, suffered six home losses last season.
However, with a full squad available to them this season, the Reds have reverted right back to form, ranking as the only team without a single home loss so far over 2021-22.
Liverpool has won all of their last five games at home by a 15-1 aggregate scoreline and have kept four clean sheets across those five wins as well. They’ll look to boost that form even further by welcoming back the return of league top scorer Mo Salah ahead of this game from the recent Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Rodgers’ Scathing Assessment of Leicester
The current FA Cup holders Leicester were unceremoniously dumped out this year’s competition by East Midlands derby club and current Championship side Nottingham Forest at the weekend and manager Brendan Rodgers was scathing in his assessment of the team’s performance in that game.
He called the performance an embarrassment to the fans and said some players weren’t fit to the wear the shirt as he hinted at some massive changes ahead if things don’t improve rapidly.
Leicester have just two wins on the road all season.

Current form leans heavily to Liverpool here and that’s the way we’re looking on Thursday.
The Liverpool to Win and Both Teams to Score – Yes prop is going off at around a +150 and that’s a decent price considering Leicester have scored in every road game they’ve played in this season.
Rodger’s harsh words on Leicester at the weekend may also have had a galvanising impact on this squad and despite missing a number of key players ahead of this game, a lot of those fringe players for Leicester might find this their opportunity to shine here and gain some much needed attention.
All that being said, it likely still won’t be enough to derail a Liverpool side in impervious form ahead of this game and we’re recommending a play on the Liverpool to Win and Both Teams to Score combination prop bet as the play for Thursday.
