Arsenal vs Chelsea | April 23 | 3:00pm ET

Both Arsenal and Liverpool maintained pressure on Manchester City at the top of the table with respective two-goal victories against their opponents at the weekend.

For Arsenal, it was a fairly labored performance against a mid-table Wolves side with little to play for, and one they’ll no doubt have to improve upon vastly across the final few weeks of the season if they’re going to have any shot of edging Manchester City for the Premier League crown.

Their West London rivals Chelsea meanwhile, despite their FA Cup exit at the hands of Manchester City at the weekend, have been in some pretty buoyant form in the league overall, unbeaten in eight straight league games heading into Tuesday night’s clash, with the Blues’ fans likely loving nothing better than ending Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes on their own home ground this midweek.

Arsenal have looked like a tired team across the last few weeks, unable to take advantage of a weakened Bayern Munich side in the Champions League, and getting dropped by Aston Villa 2-0 just over a week ago as well.

Mikel Arteta’s thin squad may be starting to fray, while Chelsea’s relative depth when compared to them, despite all of their other issues this season, may be starting to come to the fore, with only title favorites Manchester City averaging more points per game across their last five league starts than Chelsea have.

I’m expecting this one to be a tougher-than-expected game for Arsenal on Tuesday, and one where I’m happy to take the road team to keep it close in North London.

Premier League Prediction: Chelsea +1.25 (-140)

Everton vs Liverpool | April 24 | 3:00pm ET

Everton +545 | Liverpool -220 | Draw +385

Big Merseyside Derby on Wednesday night and one that is still incredibly important for both teams considering where they currently sit in the table.

Liverpool remain on the hunt for Premier League glory after beating Fulham 3-1 at the weekend, with just one point separating themselves from title favorites Manchester City right now (with City owning a game in hand), so they’ll no doubt have this circled as another must-win three points on Wednesday.

Everton meanwhile needs to win for different reasons, still not completely safe from the drop with just a five-point cushion between themselves and Luton Town in 18th, with another win here likely cementing their status in the Premier League for at least another season.

With this being one of the key fixtures historically up in the north-west of England, recent meetings have tended to be tight between the pair, especially at this venue, with five of the last six meetings at Goodison Park ending up in outright draws.

That said, Everton look at their weakest ebb domestically right now since Frank Lampard was in charge, and Liverpool already showed they can rout Everton when needed with a 4-1 demolition at this ground back in December of 2021.

While it may not get quite that ugly for Everton in this one, Liverpool nonetheless look like a far more formidable unit right now, and one with no distractions either in their quest to lift the Premier League crown for the 20th time in Jurgen Klopp’s final season at the club, so expect Liverpool to get the job done comprehensively on Wednesday against Everton.

Premier League Prediction: Liverpool to Win by 2 Goals (+300)

Brighton vs Manchester City | April 25 | 3:00pm ET

Brighton +570 | Manchester City -240 | Draw +260

After what was an incredibly disappointing exit at the hands of Real Madrid last week over in the Champions League, a game in which City owned the far greater share of attacking data, the Cityzens will need to refocus on domestic form here as they look to target the FA Cup and Premier League double across the final few weeks of the season.

Part one of that came one step closer last weekend as they booked their place into the FA Cup final with a 1-0 victory over Chelsea, but the Premier League crown might prove slightly trickier, especially with giants Liverpool and Arsenal breathing down their necks with just one point currently separating in the league table ahead of the midweek fixtures, but City owning an extra game in hand.

With Jurgen Klopp’s imminent departure from the Liverpool dugout, as at the time of writing at least, Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim is the heavy favorite to succeed him in the market at Liverpool, but should that fail to go through for whatever reason over the next few weeks, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi is the hot second favorite.

That’s led to distractions for Brighton across recent months in the league, with that continuing link to the much bigger club proving costly for the Seagulls, with Brighton dropping from 6th in both goals scored and offensive xG up to January 1st, to last in both categories from that point of the season on.

Manchester City needs to continue to win every game to have any chance of claiming their sixth Premier League title in seven years, and we envision no slip-ups in this one as a result.
