Luton vs Manchester City | April 13 | 10:00am ET

The Premier League title race is back on as Liverpool slipped up last weekend with a 2-2 draw against old rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford, a result that puts just a single point between all of the top three teams at the top of the table vying for the Premier League crown this year.

One of those teams is Manchester City this week who come off a hugely important game against Real Madrid in midweek in the Champions League.

Domestically speaking however, Manchester City has been strong at home this season, ranking as one of only two teams still yet to lose a single game at home this year, and allowing a league-fewest 13 goals inside the Etihad as well.

Luton meanwhile have been an entertaining watch away from home this season, being involved in plenty of hi-octane matches like that 4-4 draw against Newcastle a few weeks ago, but that’s obviously come at the expense of their defense which ranks bottom of the league in goals allowed away from home this season, with the Hatters giving up a pretty astronomical 2.38 GAPG to opponents on the road this year.

No team has scored more goals inside the first-half at home this season than Manchester City have, while Luton has failed to find the back of the net in 63% of their first-halves this season as well.

With goal difference possibly becoming a major factor in determining the Premier League title winner this season, look for Manchester City to hit hard and hit early in this one and carry that through to the full-time result on Saturday.

Premier League Prediction: 1H Manchester City -1.25 (+105)

Arsenal vs Aston Villa | April 14 | 11:30am ET

Speaking of title contenders this season, no team is better positioned to lift the Premier League crown right now than Arsenal are, which would be the first time they’ve done so since their ‘invincible’ season 20 years ago, as the Gunners are currently tied on points at the top of the table with Liverpool, but own a vastly superior goal difference than the Reds.

Standing in their way on Sunday is an Aston Villa side still battling for a top-four spot in the table alongside Tottenham, but a factor that’s become a lot less important given the new Champions League format for next season.

Both teams found themselves in European action in midweek against Bayern Munich and Lille respectively, a huge game for either side considering the stage of the season we’re now at, and one that Arsenal will no doubt benefit from given they have a couple of days of extra rest over Villa between competitions.

Aston Villa were thoroughly dominated in their last road game against Manchester City just over a week ago, and their road form in general this season has been a major concern for them, notching just seven wins on the season as a whole, with a negative goal difference on the road also.

Villa’s only victory against a competent foe this season away from home came against an extremely beat-up Tottenham side back in late November, and the Villians got vastly outplayed in terms of offensive xG and dangerous attacks in that game as well, so it’s highly doubtful they can muster much more in this match given they face a team in Arsenal that very well end up being the Premier League champions in just a few weeks time when all is said and done.

Take Arsenal to get the outright win and cover at home on Sunday against Aston Villa.

Premier League Prediction: Arsenal -1.75 (-105)

Chelsea vs Everton | April 15 | 3:00pm ET

Chelsea -150 | Everton +380 | Draw +315

Everton claimed a badly needed victory last weekend against fellow strugglers Burnley as they escaped with a 1-0 win at home in Goodison Park, a result the Toffees desperately needed given they were on a 13-match winless run heading into that game.

However, the positivity of that win has almost been snatched from their hands as Everton were handed a further two-point deduction for financial breaches this season (bringing their total tally to six points), meaning their margin for error grows ever smaller across the final few games of the season.

Thankfully for Everton, the teams below them in the table haven’t exactly been able to get much going in the way of positive results themselves across recent weeks, so a single point here on Monday against Chelsea could well be enough to keep Everton just out of reach of that relegation battle happening immediately below them.

For Chelsea, everything will now be focused on next week’s huge FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City, a game that arguably couldn’t have arrived at a better time for Mauricio Pochettino’s men given City are currently still deep in the Champions League, along with being involved in a knife-edge battle alongside Liverpool and Arsenal for the Premier League title this season also.

Everton are receiving a full-goal headstart in this one at around -135 at the time of writing, and that may well be the way to go here given Everton needs every point like blood from this point of the season on, while Chelsea already have one eye on next week’s huge game at Wembley against Manchester City.
