Brentford vs Chelsea | March 2 | 10:00am ET

Chelsea faces Brentford on Saturday looking to build on two solid performances against both Manchester City and Liverpool in recent weeks as they visit the Community Stadium this weekend.

Brentford however have been struggling of late, generating just two wins across all competitions since the start of December for a poor 14.3% overall win rate, and are in serious danger of getting sucked into the relegation dogfight happening just below them if they can’t find positive results soon.

A large part of those issues for Brentford this season has been a defense that has given up an average of 2.08 GAPG at home this season, the 3rd highest mark in the league, as they’ve struggled to keep opponents out on home turf.

That said, Chelsea have hardly been watertight at the back themselves this year, with no team in the league seeing the Both Teams to Score prop cash in more road games this year than Chelsea have, with an extremely high 77% frequency rate.

In fact, delving into those BTTS numbers a bit more, Brentford actually owns the league’s 2nd highest BTTS frequency rate at home this season also at 85%, but at a current price of -205 for that to hit, let’s try and target a first half prop in that market instead.

In terms of first halves, Brentford games have seen the BTTS – Yes prop cash in 54% of all of their home games this season, by far the highest frequency rate in the entire league, while Chelsea have seen it hit in 38% of all of their road first halves also. Look for that to continue this weekend at some big odds.

Premier League Prediction: 1H Both Teams to Score – Yes (+245)

Big Manchester derby lined up for Sunday as visitors Manchester United look to close the gap on the European spots with a positive result on the road this weekend while Manchester City look to overturn that current one-point deficit that sits between themselves and Liverpool at the top of the table.

Manchester City have held the bragging rights in the north-west across recent seasons, winning five of the previous six meetings between the two teams.

However, United did pull off that one sensational 2-1 win at Old Trafford last year against City via a late four-minute blitz in the second half that saw them come out on top.

Whether they’ll be able to achieve that once again in this one will likely come down to how well United can marshall this City offense, an area Manchester United have been strong in all season however with GK Andre Onana keeping the joint-most road clean sheets away from home this year, as well as United ranking 2nd behind only Arsenal in terms of the number of opponent shutouts they’ve registered on the road this season also.

City have been red-hot defensively of late, especially at home, where they’ve allowed just 0.29 GAPG across their last seven home starts, and come into this game allowing the joint-fewest goals at home this season also.

Tweaking those defensive stats for first half form however provides even better results, with both United and City ranking top of the league respectively in the first half this season on both clean sheet form at home and on the road, combining to hit at a 77% clip on average.

That’s enough for us to get involved here on the 1H Under 1.25 goals on Sunday as we’re expecting a cagey affair to open this weekend’s Manchester derby.

Premier League Prediction: 1H Under 1.25 (+110)

Sheffield United vs Arsenal | March 4 | 3:00pm ET

Sheffield United +1460 | Arsenal -615 | Draw +710

Arsenal have been the hottest team in the league across recent starts, being the only team in the EPL to register a perfect 6-0-0 record across their last six games as they look to make it a three-horse race at the top of the table.

Struggling Sheffield United, who currently remain bottom-of-the-table due to goal difference, stand in their way on Monday night with the Blades now winless in four straight league games at Bramall Lane.

Arsenal have won three straight games away from home of late, with each of their last two road wins coming by demolition as well, with the Gunners ripping through both West Ham and Burnley away from home via a combined 11-0 scoreline.

That ability to shut teams out away from home is a real possibility in this game as well as Sheffield United have failed to score in a league-high 42% of all of their games this season, the highest frequency rate in the entire league.

Both of Arsenal’s last two victories against Sheffield United came to nil (allowed no goals), with the Blades creating a paltry 0.03 xG the last time these two teams met back in October.

Look for the Gunners to get another shutout victory once again on Monday.
