Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid | Tuesday, May 2 | 4:00pm ET

Real Sociedad +150 | Real Madrid +180 | Draw +245

Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid betting data

In a rare occurrence that hasn’t happened all that often over the last decade, Real Sociedad will actually enter Tuesday’s matchup against Real Madrid as the favorites as the visitors prepare for a huge Copa del Rey final against Osasuna this weekend in the Estadio de La Cartuja.

That should allow Carlo Ancelotti to rotate his squad ahead of this one as he targets yet another piece of silverware for this season.

There’s very little reason not to do that either considering the league race is effectively over with Barcelona now 11 points clear at the top of the table and Real Madrid having little to worry about in terms of securing a Champions League spot for this season as well with a current 15 point gap between themselves and 5th position.

The much greater need is therefore on Sociedad ahead of this one as the Basque based club looks to secure their first Champions League appearance in a decade as they enjoy a five point cushion over 5th placed Villarreal.

Even with the greater focus placed on the Copa del Rey and Champions League trophies however, Real Madrid are certainly no easy task and it’s unlikely Carlo Ancelotti will be happy with his side entering Saturday’s final off an outright loss.

So despite all of the changes expected to the Real Madrid lineup ahead of Tuesday’s game, Madrid should still have enough to take a share of the spoils in this one against Real Sociedad.

Take the outright draw on Tuesday in the LaLiga matchup between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad.

Prediction: Draw (+245)

Valencia vs Villarreal | Wednesday, May 3 | 1:30pm ET

Valencia +190 | Villarreal +140 | Draw +245

Valencia vs Villarreal betting data

Huge game on Wednesday over at the Mestalla as Villarreal remain on the hunt for a Champions League spot this season while Valencia are at the other end of the spectrum, desperately trying to avoid their first relegation from the Spanish top flight in almost 40 years.

A recent 2-1 loss on Sunday against Cadiz certainly won’t allay any of those fears for Los Che ahead of this one, but they can at least rely on a far stronger home record this season than what’s taken place on the road, with Valencia carving out 24 of their 33 points at home this season.

Facing them are Villarreal side in this one that despite stumbling across recent games, have been one of LaLiga’s strongest teams over the back half of the season, ranking only behind Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in total points gained since March 1st.

The reverse fixture between these two back on December 31st saw Villarreal edge out a close 2-1 win in what was an evenly contested game overall.

Valencia took the early lead in that game before the Yellow Submarine were not only able to come back and level before half-time, but also grab the late winner with just 2 minutes left in regulation as they handed Valencia yet another bitter defeat this season.

Given Villarreal have kept zero clean sheets across their last five league starts and Valencia have kept just one, goals could well be on the cards here on Wednesday, and we’re expecting both teams to find the back of the net in this one between Villarreal and Valencia in midweek.

Prediction: Both Teams to Score – Yes (-155)

Giorna vs Mallorca | Thursday, May 4 | 1:30pm ET

Girona +115 | Mallorca +260 | Draw +225

Giorna vs Mallorca betting data

Midtable clash on Thursday evening over in Spain as Mallorca travel over to Girona coming off a 3-1 loss against Atletico Madrid last Wednesday.

Prior to that loss however, Mallorca had gone unbeaten in four straight games in LaLiga and have enjoyed a solid last few months in the league, ranking 7th in the table on total points gained since March 1st, as well as owning the league’s second-best defensive xGA rating behind only Barcelona across that same timeframe as well.

Girona meanwhile have been a Jekyll and Hyde team in LaLiga this season, ranking as the 5th best home side in the league this year, yet own a paltry W1, D1 L7 record away from home over their last nine road games, accumulating just 6 total points on their travels since January 1st also.

Thankfully for Girona, this game is at home for them and they’ve been red-hot in front of goals inside the Estadio Municipal de Montilivi, scoring in all but one of their last six home games and ranking joint 3rd on the season in terms of goals scored at home behind only the two heavyweights of Real Madrid and Barcelona also.

Given Mallorca have kept just one clean sheet away from home across their last six road starts, and the fact the pressure is off for both sides ahead of this one given where they are in the table, we could well see a bit more of an open game on Thursday evening over in Spain and one that likely tips over the current total of 2 as a result.

Prediction: Over 2 (-125)
