Aston Villa vs Leicester | January 4 | 10:00AM ET

Aston Villa -305 | Leicester +805 | Draw +455

Second-from-bottom Leicester City saw their ongoing struggles continue last weekend as they finally allowed Manchester City to win only their second game in the league since October.

The Foxes did have chances in that game however, with Leicester City crashing the ball off the post twice, as well as having more total touches inside the opposition box than Manchester City managed as well.

However, gutsy displays simply don’t put points on the board, and there’s no getting away from the fact that Leicester City ranks as the worst team in the Premier League since November 1st.

Aston Villa meanwhile haven’t been quite the machine they were last season either, with a current W4, D4, L7 record across all competitions since the middle of October.

A huge issue for the Villains of late has come from a defense that has given up the joint-second-most goals allowed in the league since November 1st (only marginally ahead of Leicester), with Aston Villa’s 21 goals allowed from open play this season also sitting as one of the worst overall marks in the league this year.

Five of the last six meetings between these two sides have seen three goals or more being scored, including all of the last five at Villa Park, and given the way both teams have been performing defensively of late, a goal line set at a straight 3 for this one looks extremely enticing on Saturday.

Premier League Prediction: Over 3 (-120)

Liverpool vs Manchester United | January 5 | 11:30AM ET

Liverpool -355 | Manchester United +875 | Draw +510

The cursed chalice that is Manchester United struck once again last weekend as the Red Devils slumped to yet another 2-0 defeat against a newly resurgent Newcastle side on Monday.

Two goals for the Magpies within the opening 20 minutes effectively put that game to bed, and United find themselves not only coming off four straight defeats in the league, but also zero goals scored across their last 270 minutes of Premier League action as well.

Their historic rivals Liverpool meanwhile continue to go from strength-to-strength under the flying Dutchman Arne Slot, currently sitting six points clear at the top of the table, with an extra game in hand also, as well as hammering the Hammers of West Ham 5-0 in an absolute rout last weekend.

Manchester United versus Liverpool has always arguably been the U.K.’s biggest rivalry, certainly England’s, with the two clubs combining to win a staggering 137 trophies between them both domestically and in Europe (Manchester City and Arsenal have combined for only 85 trophies combined for comparison), with Liverpool holding the slender 69-68 advantage over their rivals in total trophies accumulated so far.

However, despite the closeness of their historic accomplishments, Liverpool definitely hold the edge over Manchester United across recent seasons, with the Reds destroying United 7-0 in this venue back in March 2023, as well as 3-0 in the reverse fixture back in September also.

Liverpool have been absolutely rifling in goals across recent games, with the Reds netting an average of 3.50 GPG in the league since December 1st (as well as an xG of 3.07 per game across that stretch also). For comparison, the next-best xG team Arsenal has scored just 2.43 GPG (over a full goal less on average than Liverpool), as well as holding an offensive xG of 2.56.

Look for Liverpool to continue that offensive dominance here on Sunday against a team in Manchester United that has allowed multiple-goals across their last four league encounters.

Premier League Prediction: Liverpool Team Total Over 2.5 (-125)

Wolves vs Nottingham Forest | January 6 | 3:00PM ET

Wolves +210 | Nottingham Forest +135 | Draw +230

Former Molineux legend Nuno Espirito Santo will travel back to his former club on Monday night at the head of a Nottingham Forest team that currently ranks as the hottest team in England right now, winning five straight games overall and sitting third in the league.

That really is incredible stuff for a team that was expected to be battling relegation prior to the season, yet the Tricky Trees have deserved their place, ranking third in both goals allowed at the back this season, and defensive xGA also.

That robust defensive presence is something that Nuno practiced at Wolves also, guiding them to top-half finishes in the league, as well as successful European cup runs also, but that hasn’t been the case for the West Midlands side this season, with Wolves owning the league’s joint-worst defensive record allowing 2.21 GAPG to opponents this year.

If there is one positive for Wolves to look at ahead of this game however it’s that they’ve been much better defensively across recent weeks, actually ranking top-half in the table overall in defensive xGA since November 1st.

Whether that greater defensive intensity will be enough to escape with a result in this one is still an open question however, but Wolves and Forest games have tended to be incredibly tight across recent seasons, with the two teams combining for five straight draws across their five previous meetings.

With Wolves continuing to improve defensively of late, the Molineux faithful may well be able to snatch something from this game, and the outright draw looks a big price here at +233 on Monday.

Premier League Prediction: Draw (+230)
