WNBA Player Props Predictions: Ariel Atkins Washington Mystics UNDER 14.5 Points (-120) DK

Washington Mystics guard Ariel Atkins is averaging 13.6 points per game while clearing this line in 4 of 7 games on the season.

Atkins has alternated between having games with 15+ points and games with single digit scoring every other game this season and she’s coming off a game where she scored 21 points against the Atlanta Dream.

She did score 20 points against the New York Liberty in her first game of the season, but it will be a challenge to replicate that effort as she will likely draw Betnijah Laney who might be the best perimeter defender in the league.

The Liberty roster is loaded with talent and Atkins fell short of this total in 4 of 5 head-to-head games last season.

The Mystics are also winless on the season at 0-7 and the spread is -14.5 so the potential is there for a blowout that could limit Atkins minutes. I’m banking on the trend continuing and Atkins falling short of this number.

WNBA Player Props Predictions: Brionna Jones Connecticut Sun OVER 11.5 Points (+100) FD

Connecticut Sun forward Brionna Jones fell short of this total in her first three games of the season due to playing limited minutes in her return from an Achilles injury.

However, she has worked herself back into form and scored 16, 16 and 19 points in her las three games. Jones scores the majority of her points in the paint while pulling down an average of 2.2 offensive rebounds per game.

Now she faces a Dallas Wings team with a depleted backcourt that allow a WNBA worst 13.2 offensive rebounds per game, leading to 16 second chance points per game.

Jones also scored 21 points in her lone head-to-head meeting with Dallas last season. She was able to score 16 points with only 18 minutes played in a blowout against the Phoenix Mercury in her last game and now she’s well rested in an advantageous matchup.
