Had this spot circled for over a week to play against Bowden Francis and it sets up nicely with the Mets losing and not burining top bullpen arms last night.  

David Peterson didn't have his best stuff yesterday so I expect Sean Manaea to be a step up for the Jays here.  If you follow my daily request videos on TikTok (@AdamTriggerWT) you probably knew this one was coming.

Additional Analysis:

Mets lose on Tuesday but this team still has everything to play for and I expect them to bounce back with a series winning victory against the Jays here.  The Mets have gone cold offensively, New York enters play with just three hits in their last 20 plate appearances with RISP but I have reason to believe Bowden Franics is building to a bad start and the Mets might break throwh here.

Francis came out of nowhere to be one of the best starters in the league in August but started September with a loss to the Phillies in a game where he was probably fortunate to not give up more.  The six hits he gave up to Philadelphia in that contest were more than he conceded in his previous four starts combined so I think this is the case of a guy that went on an insane run and might be on the downward portion of it here (just rememder what Austin Gomber did in May and then in June).  Even if Franics is solid he's still backed by one of the worst bullpens in baseball so the Mets will have their chances late.  The Mets have had one of the best bullpens in the game over the past couple weeks and have all of their top pen arms rested here.  

The Mets have won 12 of Manaea's last 14 starts and he's got a 2.83 ERA in that span.  Manaea has shown considerable improvement since making the move to throwing his sinker more and the Jays lineup right now is a bunch of free swinging youngsters that will chase pitches out of the zone.

Good spot for the Mets to bounce back and grab ANOTHER series win here.
