Analysis

Total Over 9.0 (-118) J Berrios (RHP), N Pivetta (RHP) Must Start…(4%)

The Blue Jays and Red Sox go head to head Monday night to kick off their four-game-series and I'm expecting it to begin with some fireworks.

I've talked countless times about player splits across multiple sports and Jose Berrios for the Jays has a road/home split worth mentioning. Berrios, right-handed pitcher for the Jays, has seen his road numbers consistently be worse than his home numbers at home. To put things in perspective, at home, Berrios holds an ERA of 2.81, but on the road he's holding a 4.91 ERA, giving up 15 more runs on the road than at home. Berrios is also a guy that has given up a ton of hits of late, but gotten out of those innings, which tells me regression should be knocking on the door. On a large scare, he holds an ERA of 3.79 on the season, but his EXPECTED ERA is 4.97, over a full run higher than is actual earned run average.

Nick Pivetta has a 4.7 ERA on the season for the Sox, holding a 6.14 ERA in August, giving up 11 hits in 14.2 innings and six home runs.

Fenway Park is a hitter friendly ball park and with the Blue Jays coming off a great weekend, they should have a ton of confidence heading into this series, and for the Sox, they're coming off a series they won't be happy about and against Berrios and the Blue Jays bullpen, they should be able to put some runs on the board.

Bet the OVER in tonight's Jays/Sox MLB Game!
