Perine joined the Chiefs just before the season started, and even though he wasn’t familiar with the offense, he still had 2 targets in the first game, had 1 catch and got 10 yards on that catch. His other target was a pass he almost caught which would have been a big gain. The Chiefs have hinted that his role will increase this week as Pacheco had 17 touches last week, and he only had 6 regular season games with more than that last season. Add to that, this is a bit of a revenge game for him as he played for several years for the Bengals, so the Chiefs might want to get him a few extra touches. I love these receiving props where running backs can get over their total in one good play like Perine did last week, and if he gets 2+ receptions, I expect he’ll get well over this low number.
