959 Minnesota at Tampa Bay

Great opportunity to fade one of the hottest pitchers in baseball. Pablo Lopez has a career 3.89 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. He started the year terribly but those with patience have been rewarded. His current 2024 numbers are a 4.05 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. Very similar to his career numbers. But now we can take advantage of an overrated starter who has thrown three straight shutouts in 20.2 innings. We bet like we are playing the stock market, buy low and sell high, and right now Lopez is at a season high. 

Taj Bradley is just the opposite. He comes into today with a 4.35 ERA and 1.22 WHIP. He has been pummeled his last six starts, allowing 31 earned runs in only 28.1 innings. So as opposed to his mound opponent, we are buying extremely low on Bradley. We recently read an article about the Rays starter, and he admitted to finding and correcting a flaw is his delivery. That gives us an advantage over the competition. He faced the Twins once this season and held them to two earned runs in six innings. 

Minnesota has dropped 11 of its last 16 games, including 2 of 3 in this series. There is no way they should be favored by this number on the road.
