NFL - Tennessee Titans at Chicago Bears 

Game Thoughts: We'll kick off the NFL season and our first play and with a Total. Last season I released only 16 totals in the NFL and picked up +24.2 units of profit which was the 2nd highest unit earner amongst the 6 betting categories (all win were profitable) Sides, Totals, ML Plays, Teasers, Futures, Props on our way to finishing #1 in NFL at Wagertalk. Let's breakdown this game now. We'll start with the Bears and it's an exciting time with the Caleb Williams era starting. There hasn't been this type of hype for a QB in 10+ years and the Andrew Luck and Colts #1 draft year. The Bears made some good offseason acquisitions with the additional of Keenan Allen and off a season with the Chargers where he caught 108 passes for 1243 years in just 13 games he'll be a key target for Williams. First pick Rome Odunze will compliment the duo of Allen and DJ Moore as a deep threat as well. D'Andre Swift improves the running game. There's always discussion on new offenses and early growing pains but I don't see that here. On the other side of the ball we have the Titans off a 6-11 season and a new coach as Brian Callahan takes over the wheel after 4 years as the offensive coordinator at Cincinnati and the Bengals average offensive points per game were as follows (reminder that 2023 Burrows played only 10 games)

2021: 27.1

2020: 19.4

The offensive tools were obviously different but the Titans have spent money in the offseason and added Calvin Ridley, Tyler Boyd, Tony Pollard and with Will Levi having a year under his belt he's ready to take that next step. They aren't a Super Bowl contender by any means but they possess the ability to score points under what will be a new system and one we'll probably enjoy more than the final 2 years of the Mike Vrabel era.
