Game Thoughts: First game of the Nations League group stages and it features Euro 2024 Champions Spain and there's no reason to believe there will be any drop off or post Championship hangover with all players having been involved in the opening weeks of their teams domestic leagues. Serbia crashed out of the Euro's in the group stages and continue to underperform in tournaments and this shouldn't be different. Only prior meeting as a friendly with Spain winning 2-0 but insignificant given when it was played but there's no reason not to believe we'll see a fully fit Spain side come out on top again and given their current program and talent pool it's a team that should be formidable for a good length of time in the lead up to the 2026 World Cup.
