Since getting destroyed by Maryland to open the season, the Huskies have covered four straight games by an average of 29.2 points per contest.  This is UConn's third straight home game.  They hammered Buffalo and Florida Atlantic by a combined score of 95-17 and those two teams are better than Temple.

UConn has rushed for an average of 283.8 yards per game on an exceptional 6 yards per carry.   That is very bad news for the Owls, who rank second-to-last in rushing yards allowed per game (259.2).  Army just steamrolled the Temple D for 417 rushing yards.  The game plan for the Huskies is simple - ground & pound.

Temple will also want to run the football because that's UConn's defensive weakness.  The problem is, the Owls' ground game is only averaging 2.6 yards per carry.  And when the Huskies open up a lead, Temple will be forced to abandon the run anyway.  Temple may also be in trouble when they're forced to throw.  Temple's two QBs who have attempted a pass this season are both listed as game-time decisions.  The back-up QBs have never played one single snap at the collegiate level.

Connecticut can name the score in this one.
