The Mets took 2 out of 3 from the Diamondbacks on the road then returned home and swept the White Sox with the staff allowing only 7 combined runs in their last 5 games. The NYM are 8-2 in game #2 of a series if they won game #1 at home with an average win of 5.6 to 2.5. Mets also 14-2 at home in night games with an average win of 6.5 to 2.6.  The team and fans are all very excited (quotes below).
David Peterson has made 6 starts in August and has not allowed more than 2 runs in any of the 6 starts posting a 1.86 ERA and allowing 30 hits in 38 2/3 innings.

The Red Sox are 9-19 since August 7th and only 6-13 when excluding games as a favorite of more than -125. Boston has dropped 3 straight as they have scored 3 runs and totaled only 16 hits in those 3 games. Red Sox are 8-18 as a small favorite/dog versus a left-handed starter including 2-8 since July 12th.

Kutter Crawford has actually tossed back-to-back decent starts as he allowed 4 runs in 11 2/3 innings but both were at home. In his previous 4 road starts he has gone 18 2/3 innings allowing 20 runs.
