(265) Los Angeles Chargers at (266) Carolina Panthers
3% LA Chargers TT OVER 20.5 (-130) —
For a Chargers offense that lost Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Austin Ekeler in the offseason, they looked better than anticipated last week against the Raiders. But the main aspect of this play is the fact that the Carolina Panthers defense looked absolutely horrendous against the Saints last week.
I do not think that the Saints are a 47 PPG type of offense, but Carolina made them look like it. Derek Carr posted a 142.5 passer rating and looked the best he has in a long time.
The Chargers do have a new and improved OL, JK Dobbins had one of the most impressive rushing performances of the week, and they never turned the ball over. I think this is an opportunity for this team to shine and 21 points should be well within reach, especially when they did it in 3 out of 4 games LY as an AF.
