5% Syracuse (-8.5) over Stanford —

Both Kyle McCord and the offense of Syracuse looks a lot different than they did last season. The Orange are 3rd in the ACC currently in YPG, thanks to their pass offense currently ranking 2nd. Kyle McCord has looked noticeably more comfortable than we saw him at Ohio State, and the schedule they have played hasn’t been a walk in the park thus far. This team has put up 30+ points, 450+ yards and 350+ passing yards in both games to start the season, and they are at home for Stanford’s first ACC game.

Stanford is just 1-5 ATS in the L6 after an extra week of rest, so that hasn’t been the most beneficial thing for the Cardinals in recent history. Plus, their most recent game was against Cal Poly, which could easily give them a little false hope after their performance against TCU in week 1. They got out-gained by 176 yards in that TCU game and allowed 353 passing yards.

Most of the offense for Stanford has come from dual-threat QB Ashton Daniels, and while that could throw a curveball at opposing teams, Syracuse is coming off a game against Georgia Tech who uses similar tactics, a game that Syracuse won and covered.

Syracuse is also 8-3-1 ATS in the L12 games as a home favorite, while Stanford is just 3-10 ATS as a road dog in the L13.
