Analysis

This is a play on FSU 1st Half -9.5.

In the words of the late great Dennis Green.. “They are who we thought they were”. While many are surprised that the Seminoles lost to Georgia Tech in Ireland in Week Zero, I saw exactly what I predicted. I told viewers to bet Georgia Tech on the moneyline, and hopefully they listened. I said in the comments that this was an 8-4 team, and I was ridiculed. Well it sure looks a lot more realistic now doesn't it. All that being said, let's not panic. We should never have expected DJ to come in and replace Jordan Travis. Let's also give Georgia Tech some credit, as Brent Key and the Yellow Jackets coaching staff thoroughly out-coached Mike Norvell and company. With all the negative press for FSU, this line has come down from 22-16, a whopping six points. The narrative that FSU is not as good as expected, and now they face a BC team that they “barely beat” last year … is deeply flawed. Last year's game was actually a blowout, with FSU leading 31-10 in the 3rd quarter. Yes a couple of turnovers allowed the Eagles to make it close late (at home) in their Red Bandana Game. This is Tallahassee kids, and you get an angry FSU team badly in need of a statement win. Having the game under their belt should help the Noles, and keep in mind … as hard as I am on DJ, he was 19-of-27 for 193 yards last week, and made a couple huge throws to convert on 4th down. He's no Jordan Travis, but he won't need to be here in this game.
