The Chiefs won by a score of 17-10 at Baltimore in the AFC Championship Game, and I am expecting another low score here in Kansas City in the season opener. This isn't the same Kansas City team that it was a few years ago with Tyreek Hill. These two teams ranked #1 and #2 in scoring defense last year. One thing that has been a topic of conversation since the AFC Championship game is the fact that the Ravens only had six rush attempts by a running back in the loss. With the addition of Derrick Henry, I expect to see the Ravens put a lot more focus on the running game. That should burn up the clock and prevent either of these two QBs from piling up the passing yards. Mahomes only averaged 261 yards per game last year, so asking him to go over 264 against the #1 scoring defense seems a bit optimistic. Jackson threw for 272 yards in the last meeting, but abandoning the run proved to be a losing strategy. Expect him to run the ball, and hand the ball off a lot more frequently.
