The Dodgers enter Monday winners of 4 of 5 and they as they continue to distance themselves in the NL West. Both teams have been swinging the bats extremely well over the past week, but that has not translated into wins for Arizona. This game will come down to pitching, an area LA brings a significant advantage. Jack Flaherty has allowed 3 runs or less in 7 of his past 8 games, and he has a strong history against AZ this season as well. His metrics are top notch, with a wOBA of .282 and an elite whiff percentage as well as K rate. Flaherty also doesn’t walk many batters, so the D’Backs shouldn’t expect any extra help. Eduardo Rodriguez was just torched for 5 earned against the Mets, but this game also comes down to bullpen discrepancy, an area the Dodgers hold a big advantage.
