As most of you are aware, the season couldn’t have started out worse for Florida State. The team that felt so snubbed a season ago has started 0-2, with a loss to Georgia Tech in Dublin followed by a 28-13 home loss to Boston College as around a 17 point favorite. Mike Norvell’s Seminoles have had an extra week to prepare, but lose this game to Memphis and he may be packing his bags. The Tigers are no slouch either, averaging 39 points per game while holding opponents to 8.5. They’re also averaging 6.32 yards per play on offense. This has all come against lower-level competition, but just how good is Florida State? Furthermore, there are a handful of people that believe Memphis has a chance to make the CFP. This team is loaded with returning talent, including 10 on the offensive side alone. They went 10-3 SU in 2023 and had one of the most productive offenses in the nation statistically. Defense was another story, which is where we’ll pivot from a side standpoint to the total. FSU simply has to bring it in this game, and they should be able to score on Memphis. At the same time, the Tigers will put up their fair share of points as well and we can expect this one to fly up and over the number. Take the OVER.
