The Braves dismantled Washington 12-0 yesterday and are now tied with the Mets for the final Wild Card spot in the NL. They’re set up for success on Wednesday with Max Fried taking the mound. Fried most recently threw 7 innings without allowing an earned run against Toronto. He hasn’t allowed more than 3 runs in 5 straight starts and Atlanta has the 3rd best bullpen in baseball in terms of ERA once he exits. Jake Irvin has been getting smashed, giving up 6 and 7 earned in his past 2 starts. With the Braves bats starting to come to life and a reliable, veteran pitcher on the mound, we can count on Atlanta to win this game handily as they fight for the final spot in the playoffs.
