(135) Texas A&M at (136) Florida
The seat couldn’t be hotter for Florida coach Billy Napier, and after a bad loss to The U to open the season he may already be halfway out the door. Coach Napier needs this game to survive, and the Gators may have struck gold with highly touted freshman quarterback DJ Lagway, who threw for 456 yards last week against Samford. Napier has said that Graham Mertz will remain the starter, but Lagway should have some sort of role in the gameplan. Florida has talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball, and “The Swamp” is one of the toughest places to come away with a win in college football. Texas A&M opened the season with a 10 point loss at home to a Notre Dame team that doesn’t look very good right now. Now we’re supposed to believe that they warrant laying over a field goal on the road in one of the toughest environments in the SEC? We’ll put the points in our pocket for insurance purposes, but consider the Gators a “live dog” on Saturday. Take Florida.
