Jimmy Adams
(951) New York Mets at (952) Philadelphia Phillies
The Mets are extremely fortunate to be in this position, failing to score until the 9th inning in a decisive game 3 in Milwaukee. Don’t expect a repeat performance when they head to Philly to face Zack Wheeler. I’ve spoken multiple times about how Wheeler has had some of the best metrics in the league for years. He’s also allowed 2 runs or fewer in 11 straight starts, including giving up 2 while going 7 strong in his 2nd to last start of the regular season. Kodai Senga has only pitched in one game all season and now he’s expected to come into this environment and have success against one of the best lineups in the league. We’ll lay some chalk as the Mets get a reality check and Philly takes the opener at home. Take the Phillies.
