Analysis

We're taking the Tennessee Titans to cover on the road on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

Full Breakdown

There's a lot of hype surrounding this season's new look Chicago Bears with upgrade's at wide receiver and especially with former Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams in at quarterback to spearhead the new charge.

The Tennessee Titans meanwhile look a lot more subdued on the surface, with two-time NFL rushing yards leader Derrick Henry taking his talents to Baltimore in the off-season, along with the still raw Will Levis in at QB also.

That said however, this is a big line to cover, especially for a rookie quarterback, and there's a strong argument to be made also that Tennessee are getting massively disrespected in the market.

The Titans receiving core of De'Andre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, and Tyler Boyd is among one of the NFL's best, and with RB Tyjae Spears potentially on course to have a breakout season in 2024 also, the Tennessee Titans look like a team with plenty of options offensively.

On top of that, the Callahan duo of Brian and Bill, coming in as the new Head Coach and OL Coach respectively, is also a huge upgrade for this Titans team, and that clearly showed during pre-season.

Tennessee owned one of the best rushing defenses out of any team last year, restricting opponents to a measly 3.8 YPRA (yards per rush attempt) in 2023. That got even better as the season wore on also, with the Titans holding opponents to just 3.5 YPRA across their final three games, a figure only bettered by the Baltimore Ravens 3.3 YPRA.

That puts an awful lot of pressure on Caleb Williams to deliver in this one against not only an already strong defense, as well as an upgraded offense, but one that is also flying under the radar heading into this game due to Williams' presence.

Take the Tennessee Titans to halt the parade in Chicago with a road cover against the Bears on Sunday.
