I'm dipping into the Sun Belt to back Louisana-Monroe here against UAB as one of the better situational plays. UAB is coming off a 41-3 win at home and this is their first road game. Last season the Blazers did not win a single road game. In fact, they lost all of them by double-digits with the except of the very last game of the season at North Texas, which was a 3-point game. Now they are laying better than two touchdowns on the road? ULM wasn't impressive last week in their win over Jackson State, but their defense limited the Tigers to just 286 yards. The Warhawks also rushed for 204 yards and held the ball for 35 minutes. ULM head coach Bryan Vincent was an assistant and interim head coach at UAB from 2018 - 2022. He knows the personnel very well and should have an advantage on what UAB wants to do. This is a night game in Louisiana and a “black out” game. The environment is going to be rowdy. UAB is the better team here, but the running game and defense of ULM at home will be keeping this one tight.
