(963) Kansas City Royals at (964) New York Yankees
The Yankees close out their series with the Royals in thr Bronx. The Yankees got shut out last night by Seth Lugo. Tonight they face Cole Ragans. Ragans is solid on the road with a 3.08 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP, but since August first New York is 8th in OPS and wRC+ against lefties and they've hit the most home runs, while scoring the 7th most runs. The Yankees start Lucas Gil. Gil gets better than 5 runs of support per start and the Yankees are 16-9 as a team with him on the mound. The Roylas bullpen isn't good and after shutting out the Yankees last night, I have to think that if Ragans departs early - which he's only lasted past 6 innings twice since the All-Star break, the Yankees bats should have a crack at the bullpen late to steal a win.
