This includes starting strokes where Scott begins at 3-under.  

Adam Scott is peaking at the right time and has been red hot over his last four starts.  It started with a close call in Scotland finishing runner-up to Robert MacIntyre and then following that up with a T10 the following week at The Open.

He took a month off before the playoffs and began with a T18 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship before another close call last week finishing runner-up to Keegan Bradley.

The only real concern is that this is his third start in a row which is something he rarely does as he is extremely picky with his schedule at 44 years old.  But all that time on Tour has also seen him make 12 trips to East Lake in his career, winning the Tour Championship in 2006 among five other Top-10s.

Scott’s Tee to Green numbers have been very good, ranking 11th in this field over the last three months with a hot putter as well, ranking 9th in that same timeframe.  Over just his last five starts, Scott has gained nearly 16 strokes with his putter. 

Aside from his age and this being his third straight start, I can’t see any other reason Scott won’t contend again this week.
