This will be the 15th edition of the President’s Cup which has been completely dominated by the Americans with a 12-1-1 record.  They are once again heavy favorites to win this week thanks to both history in this competition and of course, a stacked lineup.

Team USA has eight players ranked inside the Top-15 OWGR and all 12 rank inside the Top-25.  Compare that to the International Team with only one player ranked inside the Top-15 (Matsuyama) as most rank between 30-40th.

Top-to-bottom, Team USA is stronger across the board.

Liverpool at Wolves

Yes it's a weekend before Champions League which is always concerning and it did us in two weekends ago, but Bologna isn't the most threatening team to face and you could argue with the new League Phase format, the group stage has less pressure to win each and every match.  

Additionally, Wolves have shown very little ability to keep up with the big boys this year and when Liverpool is on, they are one of the best teams in the world.  They jumped out to a quick lead last weekend against Bournemouth, then ran it up to a 3-0 scoreline.  From there, they simply overpowered the visitors and didn't give them any good looks at goal.  That's the concern here as well for Wolves who I don't expect to create many scoring chances.

Wolves grabbed a 1-0 lead at Aston Villa last weekend and held off the home side until midway through the 2nd half.  But the longer the game went on, you just knew the better team (Villa) would eventually find a goal and they did.  Three of them actually in the final 20 minutes of the match.  Even if they are able to grab an early lead on Liverpool here, it's only a matter of time before the Reds will overpower them.  Except I don't think Wolves will grab an early lead.  Instead, look for Liverpool to score first and never look back.
