You could bet just to be the top point scorer on Team USA, but if you believe the US wins (I do), then it seems extremely unlikely the top point scorer will come form the International side.  Meaning, you might as well take the Overall Top Points Scorer as opposed to just the Team Top Points Scorer and get the better number, currently +750 vs +500.

Next, you have to figure out who will have the most cracks at getting points and all we are guaranteed at this point is who is playing Thursday.  Well, Xander of course is, and him and partner Finau are the biggest favorites to win their match on Thursday, at -180 on the 2-way line where a push in the match is a void on your bet.  (You can get -145ish on the 3-way line which includes betting on the draw, if interested).

So laying -180 on the match doesn't seem that tempting and betting on just Team USA doesn't make much sense.  Combine that all to this play which I believe provides us the best value on Xander this week and let's be honest, if he wins on Thursday, Furyk would be a fool not to keep trotting him out there.
