Rio Ave are coming off a bad 4-0 loss at Braga last week and are not having a very good start to the season (W2 D1 L4). Those two wins came at home and against two teams of the bottom third of the league table, Arouca who are sitting 14th with 3 goals and 12 conceded, and Farense who are sitting 18th with 2 goals and 13 conceded. They did a lot of changes in their roster in the off-season and they still haven't gelled (something that will probably change as we have an international break ahead of us and the coach will try to work things out). 

Famalicao are having a really solid season so far (W3 D3 L1), scoring 8 and conceding 3 goals. Their only loss was a 2-1 on the road against a very good Guimaraes team, and that loss came with a goal at the stoppage time. Other than that, Famalicao are REALLY hard to beat so far, but haven't won any of L/4 (D3 L1). Even so, they beat Benfica by 2-0 in the opener, their defense is looking great (conceded just 3 goals and have kept 5 clean sheets in 7 matches). 

Famalicao have sort of dominated this match-up in recent years, with all 9 H2H matches being played from 2019 onwards (W3 D5 L1), but also unbeaten in L/5 (W2 D3) and also unbeaten in league play against Rio Ave (W3 D5 L0). But, despite their struggles, Rio Ave are really hard to beat at home, having not lost there in almost a year (W7 D8). 

This looks a lot like a Draw, but if this match doesn't get stuck in a Draw it's Famalicao who look much better right now. The Asian Spread is set at PK and we are taking the visitors here.
