TEXAS A&M (-3) vs Notre Dame

What a narrative this game brings in Week 1. Mike Elko took over as the head coach of Texas A&M and left Duke at the end of last year. That forced former Duke QB Riley Leonard  to leave Duke and transfer to Notre Dame. So the coach who knows Riley Leonard better than anyone is tasked with stopping his former QB. I like his chances of doing just that at home in College Station. This line opened as a pick em over the summer and the money has come rolling in on A&M. I agree with it. Plenty of questions about this Notre Dame OL, including how to replace 1st Round Draft Pick Joe Alt. I'm betting this new OL for Notre Dame is going to struggle on the road against this A&M Defensive front that is among the best in the SEC. Coach Elko is a defensive minded head coach and he has plenty of advantages with this defense that he will no doubt look to exploit. Meanwhile, on offense, A&M welcomes back a healthy Conner Weigman and a great group of WR. Plenty of returning experience on the OL for them will help this group against a good Notre Dame Defensive front. Too many edges for the home team in this one.
