So the Astros have thrown the Mariners a life line in the American League West after getting swept by the Reds, while Seattle finally won the last two of the four-game set at Oakland. Houston's now leads the Mariners by just 4.5 games headed into the weekend. Bryce Miller gets the call tonight for the Mariners and he's been red hot posting a 1.88 ERA across his last five starts. Erick Fedde on the mound for the Cardinals and he's turned back into a Pumpkin for them as he has lost 4 of the 6 starts for the Cards since being traded for. I like the Mariners chances to keep it rolling in this one. Worth backing the dog in this game.
