#202 3% Rice -10 Sam Houston 7 PM

While Rice only beat 3 teams by 10+ points last season we like this team and want to fade Sam Houston.  This is Bloomgren’s 7th season and has gone from 2 wins, 3 wins, a 2-3 record in the Covid season, than 4 wins, 5 wins and 6 wins getting to a bowl the L2Y. Now Rice returns 58 of 71 letterman (82%)  and are top 3 in returning production. The Owls do have to replace JT Daniels but they bring in another Owl as Warner transfers in after B2B 300+ seasons for Temple. The D returns their top 5 tacklers.

Sam Houston went 3-9 SU in their first FBS season but must now start the season with only 4 returning defensive starts and they also have a transfer QB who was a JC last season. The Bearkats were #113 LY in pass % defense and may be worst this year. 

Rice allowed 23 sacks in their 7 losses and 6 sacks in their 6 wins.
