Make no mistake about it Major Applewhite has this South Alabama offense humming. Yes the numbers are skewed with 87 pts vs Northwestern but Lopez whose first start was LY’s bowl where they scored 59 points and this season they had 38 pts and 682 yds at North Texas, 335 yards and 10 points at Ohio and 474 yards and 48 points at App St while the D is allowing 31 PPG vs FBS foes.
LSU is now 18-3 their L21 games with two Unders vs P-4 teams. The loss of Perkins on D will be a blow to the stop unit.
