Coming back here with Florida State in where situational assets suggest a strong bounce back and dictate a play. Seminoles were basically “perfect gamed” by Georgia Tech in Ireland nine days ago and not sure Boston College can duplicate that script. Situation is different on multiple levels including the Tallahassee venue, games played disparity and the motivation / desperation of national playoff contender backed into an early season corner. Opportunity for FSU to get second straight stand alone prime time spotlight presents quick redemption opportunity in front of entire country. Add to that the matchup aspect here where it’s likely that Florida State is focused and prepared to reverse the physicality result in the trenches. Figures to be difficult for Boston College to limit the game to just seven possessions each the way Georgia Tech did. Eagles have fine OL and backfield led by returning QB Thomas Castellanos and their offensive blueprint to is very similar to Ga Tech’s. Preparing for basically the same opposing strategy probably more helpful for the ‘Noles who have seen the “run heavy / grind the clock /limit possessions” philosophy and can now adjust. A lot of external distraction came with trip to Ireland and seemed Florida State was caught somewhat off guard when the Yellow Jackets would not go away. They’re in their comfort zone now and should be ready and aware of everything including BC sneaking up on them last year in narrow 31-29 escape. HC Mike Norvell will hammer all the details into his teams mindset for this one and expect fully focused effort from the outset. Find early to be the best way to attack this one especially with key number of 10 working for us. Boston College susceptible to quick standing eight count and are potentially staggered for the first 30 minutes.
