Virginia already has 22 pass plays of 15+ yards this season and UM has allowed 17 vs. pair of teams not currently known for passing prowess. Other side shows step down in defensive class for Maryland which can attack Cavs porous pass defense (#107 in the land) that was just torched by Wake Forest for 403 yards. Maryland counters with dual threat QB Billy Edwards Jr. who has completed 74.6% of his passes and is averaging 317 pypg. Terrapins have 21 pass plays of 15+ yards and UVA has allowed 19. Offensive strength vs defensive weakness in extreme fashion on each side. Pair of mobile QB’s at the helm are added weapons as is the tempo Virginia will push this game at. Maryland faced deliberate style of Michigan State HC Jonathan Smith last week and game totaled 51. Good chance there’s 7 extra in this one which has far greater scoring advantages.
