Neither team has been lighting up the scoreboard. Bournemouth’s attack has been shaky, and Southampton is dead last in the league when it comes to goals scored. Both teams are averaging well under two goals per game. 

Bournemouth’s coach is suspended, and Southampton’s attack has been pretty toothless. We’re probably looking at a low-scoring grind here, which is why I’m liking the under on this one. Even if there are three goals, we still cash half the bet.

Southampton hasn’t been great this season, but they’ve kept things close, and Bournemouth isn’t exactly a powerhouse. Plus, Southampton has been unbeaten at Bournemouth’s ground in their last six visits. So even if Bournemouth manages to pull off the win, I don’t see them winning by more than one goal. The +1 line is a safety net in case we see a tight match, which is pretty likely given both teams’ form.

Under 3.25 goals and Southampton +1 are my top plays for this matchup.
