(277) Seattle Seahawks at (278) New England Patriots
New England is coming off a shocking 16-10 upset win as a 7.5-point underdog at Cincinnati in Week 1. However, since the start of the 2022-2023 NFL season, New England has gone an abysmal 0-6 SU&ATS as a home underdog of 7.0 or less. Additionally, the Patriots went a horrible 1-7 SU&ATS at home last season and included 0-4 SU&ATS versus non-division opponents.
Seattle is coming off a 28-20 home win over Denver last Sunday and covered as a 6.5-point favorite. The Seahawks defense held Denver to just 231 yards and forced 3 turnovers. I firmly believe the only team capable of beating Seatle in this upcoming matchup against New England is Seattle. They are clearly the better team than New England in my eyes.
Any non-division away team which has a point-spread of between +3.0 to -3.0 coming off a non-division win, versus an opponent playing in Games 2 through 14 that won 4 games or fewer the season before, and they are coming off a non-division SU underdog win, resulted in those away teams going 8-0 SU&ATS since 1984. The average margin of victory in those 8 contests came by 8.8 points per game.
Give me the Seattle Seahawks minus points.
