(301) Tampa Bay Buccaneers at (302) Atlanta Falcons
Tampa Bay is feeling their oats after a resounding 33-17 home underdog win over Philadelphia last Sunday. However, keep in mind this is the same Buccaneers team that was blown out at home by Denver 27-7 just 2 weeks ago. Furthermore, in their only other road game this season, Tampa Bay defeated Detroit 20-16 as an underdog. However, that result was a bit deceiving when considering the Lions outgained them in that game by 247 yards. So, there has been a level of inconsistency in the early going for the Buccaneers.
Atlanta has faced a tough schedule thus far while having faced Pittsburgh, Kansas City, New Orleans, and Philadelphia. The Falcons did go 2-2 in those contests and their 2 losses were both 1 score games. The Falcons are coming off a momentum building and thrilling home win over New Orleans 26-24 last Sunday.
Any NFL home team coming off a home win and is playing after Game 3, versus an opponent coming off a home underdog SU win by 16 points or more, resulted in those home teams going 22-3 (88%) SU since 1989. Additionally, since 2009, that identical betting angle has seen the home teams go 8-0 SU&ATS and with an average victory margin of 14.9 points per game.
