3% Rotation #771: CFL Friday 3% BC Lions +4.5 -115 @ Montreal Alouettes @ 7:30 ET - This line was a low as a 2.5 but now has jumped to the 4 and 4.5 range (4.5 currently at multiple shops including MGM and Heritage) and I would not be surprised to see this movement continue as everyone rushing to back a home team that is 10-1 this season plus coming off a bye week and laying a short number. BC is off the huge momentum-shifting win last week in Victoria and that changes the trajectory of the Lions in my opinion. Their QB Rourke is really back now! Why else would this line be just 2.5 even though BC is 2-5 SU on the road and the Alouettes are 6-0 SU against West Division teams. When a line looks “off" like this and also then moves the direction I expect it to, I love to come in on the other side and take advantage of the value. Montreal is without a star receiver too as Austin Mack is on the injured list for this one. The Lions Rourke threw for over 300 passing yards and 3 touchdowns in the Touchdown Pacific game last week and that was against a Ottawa team that had been playing well. Also, RB William Stanback had another big ground game for the Lions last week and he can do some damage against a suspect Als rush defense. Remember that BC, though 6-6 on the season, can move into 1st place in the West with a win here. Buoyed by last week's big win over the Redblacks and Rourke looking like the Rourke of old, I do expect the SU win here but will grab the points just in case. That's because one must consider the Alouettes recent results at home and then one sees the true value of the points here. The Alouettes had a big 10-point win at home recently but they were outgained in that win so it was a bit of a fluke final score! On top of that, their other 4 most recent home games other than that one saw the Als go 3-1 SU but each win was by only 4 points! Value in the dog here as you can see especially with Rourke looking like the Rourke of old and with Montreal now without Mack! 3% BC LIONS +4.5 -115
