Analysis

2% Rotation #966: MLB Monday 2% Philadelphia Phillies -190 vs Tampa Bay Rays @ 6:40 ET - A lot of times I will go to 1.5% when in this price range but I like this spot so much that I am going 2% here. Keep in mind that risking 2% in this price range is roughly the equivalent of risking 3% on a -125 money line. So yes we are taking some risk here but it is not a huge risk. That said, I love the Phillies at home here off an embarrassing 10-1 loss yesterday at Miami. The Phillies tend to respond off ugly losses like that and they are a particularly tough team at home and what seals the deal here is the fact the Rays are off a rare 2-0 shutout win yesterday plus TB was on the road and now remains on the road for this one. The Rays are expected to start Sulser here while the Phillies are expected to start Sanchez. I am going action on the pitchers as per usual Sanchez is 7-3 with a 2.24 ERA at home this season. Sulser is essentially just an opener here likely to only go a couple innings which is another reason I am going action on the pitchers here. The Rays are 0-6 the last 6 times they were on the road and entering a game on a winning streak of 2 or more games. The Phillies are tied with Dodgers for best home record in MLB at 47-25 on the year. Philadelphia is also 61-33 in night games this season. Philly has won 9 of last 12 at home and the Rays have lost 4 of last 6 interleague road games. This is another tough match-up for Tampa Bay here. The Rays rank 29th in the majors for slugging percentage (only the White Sox worse!) and the Phillies are one of the top slugging teams in the majors. Also, the Phillies have scored 6 runs per game in going 11-3 last 14 games before yesterday's low-scoring loss. Phillies perfect 3-0 last 3 times when entering a game on a losing streak of 2+ games. They stop this one its tracks too as they bounce back at home. I know we could play the run line here but I hate getting burned on 1-run wins which also do occur more frequently at home. Lay the price here as we keep this rating just at 2% on this one. 2% PHILADELPHIA -190
