Analysis

4% Rotation #955: MLB Monday 4% OVER 9.5 in Los Angeles Dodgers vs Chicago Cubs @ 10:10 ET - This looks like a great spot for plenty of runs and with the early market move already going from 9 to a 9.5 I am going to jump in on this one now as I would not be surprised if this one moves to 10 later on. The fact is the Cubs hitters might be relieved to be leaving Wrigley Field as they have been hitting much better of late when away from home. Also, it will be incredibly warm weather by LA standards for this one and I expect the ball to carry very well in this one. The hitters will take advantage and, of course, the Dodgers are one of the top hitting teams in baseball. It is for this reason that I am going with action on pitchers, as per usual, but lets talk about the expected matchup here. Walker Buehler is off a decent start (finally) but it was against an Angels team that, in a lot of their games, really struggles at the plate and almost seems to have quit on the season. Prior to that outing, Buehler had allowed 20 earned runs in 24 innings on 36 hits and 11 walks and 2 hit by pitch. Yes, an average of 2 baserunners per inning! That will get pitchers into trouble quickly more often than not and this Cubs team has won 8 of last 9 road games and, incredibly, scored an average of 10 runs per game during this stretch! The Dodgers should also hit well here as they face a struggling Kyle Hendricks. He is off a solid start at home but was struggling prior to that outing and has struggled away from home this season. In 13 road games (11 starts) Hendricks is 2-5 with a 7.89 ERA this season! Los Angeles has won 8 of 11 games and scored nearly 6 runs per game during this stretch. Look for both teams to hit well here given all of the above. Also, the over is 6-0 (and one push) in the last 7 road games for Cubs when facing a right-handed starting pitcher. This one is set up perfect to take that run to 7 IN A ROW! 4% OVER 9.5 in Los Angeles Dodgers
