4% Rotation #959: MLB Thursday 4% OVER 8 in Milwaukee Brewers vs Arizona Diamondbacks @ 7:15 ET - We get a bargain total here because the Brewers are known more for lower-scoring games and I am going to take advantage here with a Diamondbacks team that has had plenty of high-scoring action in the 2nd half of the season. The set up here is perfect because the starting pitching match-up that is expected here should also be conducive to runs. I know that Tobias Myers has solid numbers overall on the season but he has allowed 21 hits in less than 18 innings this month and that includes getting hit hard by Arizona in his most recent start! Likewise, the Dbacks Brandon Pfaadt just faced Milwaukee in his most recent start and it was a disaster. The Brewers got to him for 8 earned runs in less than 2 innings! I don't see these pitchers miraculously turning everything around in a quick rematch here with the same lineups that just gave them issues. Also, Pfaadt has allowed 29 earned runs in 29 innings spanning his last 6 starts! The Brewers are riding high after cliniching post-season berth with a win over the Phillies 2-1 yesterday! They have scored an average of 6 runs per game during their current 5-2 winning run last 7 games and that included particular success against the Diamondbacks including Pfaadt and their bullpen. As for the Dbacks, they have averaged 7 runs per game during their current 5-4 run. They got back on track at the plate with a big 9-4 win at Colorado yesterday afternoon. I understand the low total here with some thinking the Brewers will be flat after clinching post-season last night but Pfaadt and the Dbacks bullpen get rocked again. At the same time, I trust this Arizona lineup to keep doing plenty of damage at the plate as they have had a huge 2nd half of the season. 4% OVER 8 in Milwaukee
